MEET DR BABAFEMI TAIWO A NIGERIAN AND GRADUATE OF UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN PLAYING A LEADING PART IN THE NIH ON REMDESIVIR-THE ANTIVIRAL DRUG AMERICA IS NOW APPROVING TO FIGHT COVID-19.
Dr. Babafemi Taiwo. Chief of Infectious Diseases in the department of medicine at Northwestern University Chicago. His undergraduate education, and initial medical training took place at the college of medicine, University of Ibadan. He is principal investigator of the NIH D43 multi disciplinary Neuro AIDS Training and Research Program in Nigeria. He is also Director, Clinical core of the Third coast Center for AIDS Research.
A professor of medicine at Northwestern University, he leads clinical and translational HIV researchers, from infectious diseases, hepatology, neurology, radiology, cardiology and nursing and directs the development and implementation of NIH-sponsored international and observational HIV Studies.
