What was going through their minds as they beat rain and cold and sun to make every campaign ground colourful and enticing? In our developing democracy, these set of people are the greatest impediment to development. They are the Ooh yee boys and Ooh yee girls. They make the eyes look like everything is fine. The policies are working and the development is rapid. Nothing makes sense to them apart from 1k, 2k or 5k at rear cases “landing fees”.
These set of people are used, abused and then dumped. Their involvement ends immediately the the winner is announced. And then to thy thy tent oh supporters.
Any time the campaign grounds becomes empty, that’s the time the politicians will begin to take us serious. Even if you don’t have what to do, sleep. By sleeping, you have sent a strong message that will be rewarding. They will know that all is not well and will find a way to know what your problem is and a sustainable way of solving them.
